At Sun Health's Del E. Webb Cardiac Catheterization Lab, part of the SunHealth Heart Center, we strive to provide comprehensive treatment for both Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular procedures. In addition to our diagnostic procedures, we offer modern, safe treatment for arterial blockages requiring intervention, such as balloon angioplasty or stent placement. Other treatments include:
- Cardiac Catheterizations
- Permanent Pacemakers
- Loop Recorders
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms
- Cardioversions
An element of the Cath Lab's care is a highly skilled and motivated team available 24 hours a day/ 365 days a year. The team begins treating Heart Attack patients immediately and adheres to American College of Cardiology standards to treat heart attack victims quickly and efficiently. "Time is (heart) muscle", says Dr. Joseph Caplan, interventional cardiologist. "Treating a heart attack quickly decreases the potential long-term damaging effects."
