music_therapyMusic therapy has proven beneficial to individuals with dementia. Benefits include increased social, emotional and cognitive skills, as well as decreased behavioral problems. Teri Mock, MTBC, explains how music can shift mood, manage stress-induced agitation, stimulate positive interactions, facilitate cognitive function and coordinate motor movements.
