Phoenix charities know that between school, sports, and social, kids these days bounce from activity to activity just as often as we are. When there are so many places to go and people to see, it’s hard to remember to just slow down sometimes, and think about the bigger picture – the important things: helping others.
And even though our kids may have everything from packed lunches to packed schedules, there’s always time to help others. SUN CITY – Sun Health recently named a new chairman, vice chairman and treasurer, as well as three new board members to the Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees.
Surprise’s Patricia Lewis Finnell now chairs the Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees. An Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFRE), Finnell currently serves as senior professional-in-residence at Arizona State University’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. Sun City West’s Richard Livengood, who was reelected to the board in 2010 and is the immediate past chair and current chair of the board’s Finance Committee, assumes the treasurer’s role for the 2012-13 fiscal year. Continue reading

Sun Health Foundation was one of several organizations to receive grants from the Sun City Rotary Foundation on June 26th. The grant money will benefit Sun Health’s Care Transitions Program.
On May 3, NBC Nightly News featured a story profiling Sun Health Senior Living’s Home Exchange program. The story by NBC’s John Yang was shot at La Loma Village, and featured residents Lee and Al Rose.
