Banner Boswell Medical Center’s free monthly education series teaches people about their heart and how to manage chronic heart disease. Participants are encouraged to sign up for multiple classes, as presentation topics vary throughout the year.
October Featured Speaker: Caring for the Cardiac Patient – the Caregiver’s Perspective. Caregivers have many unique challenges and often forget to care for themselves in the process. Patricia Goodell, clinical educator, discusses some of these challenges such as the impact on cardiac care givers, types of caregivers, types of stress and different strategies for managing stress. Information on community resources will be available. At the conclusion of Goodell’s presentation, Linda Sewell, RN, will be providing a presentation on aromatherapy and stress relief.
This free Sun Health Community Education class is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Banner Boswell Medical Center Support Services Building, Juniper Room, 13180 N. 103rd Dr., Sun City. Space is limited; registration is required.
