Cardiology Pillar of Clinical Excellence
Cardiology is an incredibly important branch of medicine because the heart can require treatment at any age. Our Arizona medical charity supports top-notch medical teams trained in the care and treatment of heart afflictions, but we need your help to truly provide the best care possible. Read on to learn how philanthropic efforts are benefitting the cardiology pillar of our Phoenix medical charity.
Mission/Purpose Enhance the delivery of cardiac care
In response to significant heart care needs, philanthropic efforts for cardiology within our Arizona medical charity focus on enlisting support and funding for a new Cath Lab at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center. The $7.4 million project, which came to fruition with the opening of the newest lab in February 2012, enables the facility’s Phoenix medical charity team to serve more patients and respond to an increasing demand for minimally invasive cardiac procedures and assessments. In 2009, an estimated 600 patients had to leave the service area for cardiac cath services because the hospital did not have the capacity. Support for this expansion will enable the facility to serve more patients and avoid transfers to other facilities outside the service area.
This will help our Arizona medical charity team save more lives each day.
