Ronald D. Guziak, President & Chief Executive Officer (Sun Health)

Ron Guziak is the President and CEO of Sun Health Services and Sun Health Foundation. He is responsible for leading a unique enterprise that includes a philanthropic community foundation, a real estate division that owns and operates life care communities and skilled nursing facilities and the parent company that manages a portfolio of over $240 million. In aggregate, the enterprise has assets of over $450 million and is growing.

Guziak brings an entrepreneur’s spirit to Sun Health believing that best business practices must be applied to achieve strategic outcomes. While most of his career has been in health care, he credits his experience in developing a small start-up business into a successful industry leader as a true turning point in his career.

As a result, his 40 year career in non-profit business development, communications and philanthropy has led to significant industry leading program development, philanthropic success and ground-breaking strategic planning for his organizations.

Throughout his career he has counseled countless non-profit agencies on strategic planning, board development and major gift fund raising. He has mentored numerous colleagues in their careers, watching them move into significant leadership positions.

The vision of Sun Health is to be a leading advocate for healthy living and the mission, is for Sun Health to champion healthy living, research and superior healthcare. A new strategic plan has recently been developed by the board of directors giving Sun Health clear direction for its immediate future.

A native of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, Guziak has a B.S. Degree from West Virginia University and a Masters Degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He is married to Peggy and they are the proud grandparents of Joshua and Zoey, children of their son David and daughter-in-law Jaime.

Jennifer Drago
Jennifer Drago, Vice President of Business Development (Sun Health)

As vice president of business development, Jennifer Drago is currently developing and launching community-based health programs for medication management, care transitions and chronic disease. Drago brings more than 20 years of health care experience to this role, including serving as vice president of administrative services for Boswell Memorial Hospital (now Banner Boswell Medical Center) and Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital (now Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center) and providing administrative guidance for hospital departments such as Emergency, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation Services, Medical Records, and Outpatient Services. She also held the position of vice president of planning services for the former Sun Health hospital system. She earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from Arizona State University, as well as an MBA and a master’s in health services administration from Arizona State University.

Sharon Grambow
Sharon Grambow, Chief Operating Officer (Sun Health Senior Living)

As chief operating officer for Sun Health Senior Living, Sharon Grambow is responsible for the execution of the organizational strategy and management of all three Sun Health senior living communities and their more than 500 employees. Grambow has held several leadership roles at Sun Health including administrator for Grandview Care Center, executive director for Grandview Terrace, and chief financial officer for all three senior living communities. She has more than 18 years of experience in senior housing operations, health care facilities management and property management. During her tenure with Sun Health, Grambow has effectively grown several aspects of the organization’s portfolio, including successfully closing a $42 million tax exempt bond financing that saved more than $2 million in interest annually. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and is a certified public accountant. Grambow is also a licensed nursing home administrator and a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators.

Joseph La Rue
Joseph E. La Rue, Executive Vice President (Sun Health)

Joe La Rue is responsible for providing strategic oversight to all three senior living communities as well as several real estate and property interests owned by Sun Health. Before joining Sun Health, La Rue practiced law for 16 years in the Sun Cities area, with an emphasis in real estate finance and development. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in business in 1985, he earned his juris doctorate from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1988. La Rue is a member of the Maricopa County Transportation Advisory Board, representing Supervisory District 4. He also is a member of the Arizona Town Hall Board of Directors and the WESTMARC Board of Directors. Previously, he served a four-year term on the Peoria City Council from 1997-2001.

Bill Sellner
Bill Sellner, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer (Sun Health)

Bill Sellner has served as the organization’s chief financial officer for almost 20 years. Before Sun Health’s transaction with Banner Health in 2008, Sellner directed all financial operations for Boswell Memorial Hospital (now Banner Boswell Medical Center), Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital (now Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center) and Sun Health Research Institute (now Banner Sun Health Research Institute). Today, he provides both strategic and operational financial oversight of Sun Health Senior Living, Sun Health Foundation and special community health programs currently in development. Before joining Sun Health, Sellner served as a senior manager for Price Waterhouse for 10 years. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force before graduating with a degree in accounting from Arizona State University.

Coiya Tompkins, Vice President Corporate Communications & Public Relations (Sun Health)

Coiya Tompkins oversees marketing communications, corporate communications and public relations for Sun Health Senior Living, Sun Health Foundation and community health projects. Before Sun Health, Tompkins served as marketing director for Sierra Medical Center, a Tenet Health hospital in El Paso, Texas, and public relations director for Banner Baywood Medical Center and Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, Ariz. Prior to health care, Tompkins held corporate communications positions at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and Phelps Dodge Corporation (now Freeport-McMoRan). Her work on a $1 million employee communications campaign earned both local and national awards from the International Association of Business Communicators. Tompkins earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communications from North Dakota State University and her master’s of business administration degree from the University of Phoenix.[/wpcol_2third_end]
