Gina Ore has been a part of the Sun Health Foundation since June 1999. She joined the foundation as director of development overseeing major gifts and was promoted to vice president/chief development officer two years ago. Ore began her career working with for-profit organizations in Chicago. Upon her move to the Valley of the Sun in 1989, she knew she wanted a different career path – one that she would find more rewarding. Ore discovered her philanthropic calling while working at Benevilla, previously Interfaith Community Care, a not-for-profit human services agency serving the West Valley. Here she was hired as the Director of Volunteer Services but quickly moved into a fund raising and business development position. She worked for Benevilla for nine years before joining the Sun Health organization.

Patricia Lewis FinnellPatricia F. Lewis, ACFRE, serves as Sr. Professional-in-Residence at the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation.  Prior to moving to Arizona, she served in the faculty position of Nonprofit Professional-in-Residence at George Mason University in Virginia and managed the graduate Nonprofit Management Studies program. Ms. Lewis is a past President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) — formerly known as the National Society of Fund Raising Executives (NSFRE)  — in Alexandria, Virginia.

Birt Kellam is a longtime friend and board leader of Sun Health. He has served in a variety of leadership positions for Sun Health and with his wife Louisa, is a strong supporter of several west valley organizations including Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, which is home to the Louisa Kellam Center for Women’s Health.

 

Darl Bachmann, a local business owner of Ford’s travel and long time board member, board chair and recently a patient in one of our local hospitals. He attended Arizona State University – and received Bachelor’s degrees in both General Business and Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Darl has served on a number of travel industry boards and focus groups, served on the board and at the executive level of the local chamber of commerce and is a proud member of the Sun Health Foundation Board of Trustees, where he recently was Chairman of the Board. Bachmann also serve on the Sun Health Services Board of Directors. Over the years, he also has served on and chaired a number of school related fundraising and steering committees.
