Wound Management Center Offers Healing Hope
A simple cut or even a foot blister can develop into a chronic wound that is difficult to heal. Without proper treatment, a non-healing wound can become infected, cause considerable pain, loss of function and even loss of limb.
A variety of factors make chronic wounds difficult to heal, including blood circulation, general nutrition, diabetes, age, smoking habits and long-term effects of radiation or medications. Successful healing of chronic wounds requires continued medical supervision and diligence on the patient's part.
Our specialty is treating difficult wounds. At the Sun Health Wound Management Center, our nurse practitioner and certified wound care nurse develop an individual treatment program for each patient, using the latest healing products and techniques.
Our Center accepts patient self-referral or referral from your primary or specialty physician. Our case management approach emphasizes coordination of medical treatments and home care services with the primary physician, as well as patient and family education.
Medicare and most insurance carriers cover evaluation and treatment of chronic wounds. Our office staff will verify the level of insurance coverage prior to beginning the treatment program.
