The Background

The Banner CORE Center for Orthopedics at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center serves more than 4,700 patients a year. From the moment individuals become a patient at the Center, they can feel the Banner CORE difference, which includes a fully integrated continuum of care for patients. From initial evaluation, surgery, and inpatient and outpatient therapy, orthopedic surgeons and other health care professionals work together to provide exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes—from start to finish.

However, as the populations of Sun City, Sun City West, and Surprise continue to grow, so do the needs in orthopedic and spine care.

Our Resolution

We’re committed to raising a total of $2 million to help transform the current Center for Orthopedics into a new, state-of-the-art Banner CORE Center for Orthopedic at Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center. With the new additions, the center will become the gold standard for a seamless patient experience.

Enhanced Technologies

Funds raised from this initiative will go to support technologies in orthopedic and spine care for surgeons. This includes:

  • Acquiring portable surgery systems and surgical tables
  • Expanding sterilization capabilities
  • Funding new 4K monitors

The Services of a Specialized Patient Navigator

Another primary goal of this initiative includes developing an enhanced model that provides patients and families with the services of a specialized patient navigator. The navigator will help our community by:

  • Walking patients through each step of their orthopedic and spine care journey
  • Answering any and all patient questions
  • Supporting patients to ensure they feel confident in their health care decisions
  • Working internally with the Banner Del E. Webb team to broaden classes and educational resources

Enhanced technologies, combined with the services of a specialized patient navigator, will help ensure residents of our community have the best care possible. More patients can enjoy life with greater mobility without having to worry about orthopedic or spine-related conditions.
